Today I wanted to talk about some shite I really like to do: Blog. The way I got into this whole shite is by one day going to tutorial and seeing a guy I’ve known from high school. We got to talking and whatever, and he started telling me about internet businesses that can be started and how social media was starting to boom. He told me about blogging and said that it’s easy to get into and there are mans like John Chow raking in 30K a month from their blog. 30K a month didn’t sound all that bad. This mate of mine had a lot of experience with internet businesses and all. He even started a blog on blogging at one point, but didn’t have time to update it often and went on to do other stuff. At one point we were supposed to start a big website together with a blog and forum integrated into it, but that’s still pending and hasn’t happened yet. Maybe in a year or so. Anywho, I learned a lot from him and I decided to start my own blog. I started something called WikiWeblog.com, which I no longer update, because this Shite I Like blog is much more fun to update. WikiWeblog was a news blog where people submitted their own views on the latest news and I would just edit and publish their posts. No writing on my part, great eh? Laziness made me do it. Anywho, that didn’t succeed well and I put some thought into it and realized I’ve gotta start a blog which I’ll enjoy writing for. It’s been over a year of reading about blogging, doing my research, and a bunch of trial and error, but I feel like I’m finally on a comfortable level of knowledge in this blogging field.

Blogroll Please…

The real reason I wanted to write this post was to have a post that would take the spot of my blogroll. I never liked blogrolls, but linking to a bunch of blogs I like seems more appealing to me. Instead of just putting random blogs that want to make a deal with me that they’ll put my blog up if I mention their blog here seems fucked, so instead I hand picked a few blogs that are on my top shite list. Top Blog Shite List:

The Art of Manliness – This is a blog, a community, a shop, and overall great advice on how to be a manly man. They post on how to be a gentlemen in an age where chivalry is dead and they’re quite good at it. Very entertaining articles and cool community of people.

Dosh Dosh - This is a blog on blogging and making money from blogging. He had taken quite a long break but now he’s back and better than ever. Great insight for any blogger that wants to dominate the blogosphere.

ProBlogger – This is another blog for bloggers and it’s a blog I visit almost daily. Darren comes up with top-notch topics and ideas that are really important to know for any blogger.

Life of Justin – This is a great blog about Justin Wright’s travel throughout the United States. He’s a full time blogger and his posts are always riveting and filled with sheer entertainment. Cheers to him.

A Cognitive State of Mind – Photo blog where Damien truly updates with inspiring photographs.
