My New Site All About Me, Me, Me

Yes, it’s 6 in the morning and I’m still up. I just came from a club and while watching re-runs of Entourage, I remembered that I created a website sometime yesterday about… well, me! Selfish? Sure, why not. Well, it’s not all about me, it’s about me trying to get my new fiction novel published. As you may know, I love writing on this blog, and I also enjoy writing on more serious topics like life, death, and all the craziness that’s in between. And the new site, entitled “Robert Gulassarian” is about me trying to get my latest work, “Filth on My Shoes” published. Early in ’09 I self-published “Civilized Savages in the Mad World” that you can buy on Amazon. But now, I am interested in going through a traditional way of publishing and have a real publishing company 100% behind my latest work. On the new site you can find the first chapter of the latest work, and if any of my Shite I Like readers are interested, I can send you an extra couple of chapters to read ahead.
Basically, the new book is a semi-autobiography about my adventures in Amsterdam, and though I’m 35,000 words into the book, I’m not close to being finished, which is a good sign. I have to tell you truth in this post, even though I’m studying Political Science in university, I am not interested in the subject at all. Sure, some of the concepts are enticing, but the fact is my heart is in writing novels. Instead of reading shit like “Eastern Europe in the Twentieth Century–And After”, I rather be reading “Women” by Bukowski and “Notes from Underground” by Dostoevsky. Matter of fact, besides reading, I rather write about what interests me and what I believe will interest the public. For example, if you’re not aware of Hunter S. Thompson, I agree with one of his greatest quotes where he says, “If you’re going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you’re going to be locked up.” and since I don’t wanna be locked up, I’m searching real hard to find someone to pay me for my work before I get locked up.
The new site I created needs a push in the right direction towards literary agents and publishers and hopefully someday soon you’ll see Robby G on the billboards. But don’t worry, all my supporters will get a big mention and I’ll try my best to help you all out as much as you’ve helped me. Pass the word, pass the love. All the best!
