You know what typography is? Probably not. But if you do, good for you. Anywho, I wanted to talk about them today. According to Wikipedia, typography “is the art and techniques of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques.” I don’t really like going scientific on you, so I decided to just show you a clip of the best typography I’ve seen so far.

I like this shite not only because it’s really damn cool, but because they usually make them for the best movies of all time. I’ve attempted on creating my own for Trainspotting, but it didn’t really work out well so I got pissed off and deleted it. But if you’re into that production stuff, some great software for typography and a bunch of other production stuff is Adobe Creative Suite 4.

Some links to my top favourite typographies:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIujke_cLxc

Trainspotting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbGhC47NSmY

And of course the all time funniestPulp Fictionin German: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pYZfZdZb1w

Typography is shite I dig, so if you got any that you wanna share, feel free to contact me with the link or whatever.

Typography is an amazing form of showing expression and emotion in a film. It allows the reader/watcher to read the words while the producer is giving an elaborate demonstration of how powerful a dialogue in a film is. Using typeography a very simple, irrelavent scene in a film can be extremely interesting. Its amazing how powerful words can be with a little bit of colour and graphics added to them. I agree with you, Typeography is definately some “Shite” that I like as well.. lol.. thanks for sharing those links havent seen them before.
